PRODUCT FEATURES
PRODUCT FEATURES
The sealing tape for the bathroom, waterproofing, 50M, LEVEL+ product is coated with a high-quality thermoplastic elastomer that is tear-resistant, crosswise flexible, and longitudinally stable polyester braid with excellent adhesion to all types of liquid, polymer, and polymer-cement sealants of the LEVEL+ brand. The elastomer used is resistant to chemicals and detergents commonly used in cleaning and is also resistant to UV radiation, aging, fungus, and mold, remaining flexible and thermoplastic for a long time.
USAGE
The L+B01 tape is designed for sealing all wall-floor connections, corners (joints) on vertical surfaces, and walls and floors on horizontal surfaces in tile underfloor waterproofing systems. It is also recommended for sealing expansion joints (peripheral, mounting, peripheral, control expansion joints) on horizontal and vertical surfaces, as well as at their intersections inside and outside buildings, in areas exposed to temporary or permanent moisture and water. The tape can be used in rooms such as bathrooms, showers, kitchens, laundries, pools, saunas, fountains, basements, as well as for waterproofing on balconies and terraces. The tape is intended for use with all liquid polymer and polymer-cement sealants of the LEVEL+ brand. Do not use the tape for structural expansion joints.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
The substrate must be stable, flat, dry, clean, dust-free, grease-free, free from old paint, and free from small elements that could be damaged and coated with a suitable primer according to the LEVEL+ brand. Low-adhesion dirt and layers should be removed and supplemented with suitable material. The substrate can be any cement-bound floor, whether fixed or floating, heated or unheated, as well as other substrates with appropriate stiffness and load-bearing capacity: ceramic masonry, gas silicate, cement mortars, gypsum mortars, reinforced concrete, gypsum board, gypsum fiberboard, OSB boards, gypsum blocks, etc.
PRODUCT PREPARATION
The product is ready for use after removing the packaging.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Start installation from the corners and cuffs for sealing walls or floors. After their initial setting, measure the further straight sections of the tape, taking into account a minimum overlap of 40 mm at the joints of the tapes and tapes with corners or cuffs. Apply a thin layer of LEVEL+ waterproofing material to the surface intended for tape installation, onto which place corners and straight sections of the tape, making sure to place them evenly. After laying the tape, press it from above to the substrate using a soft roller, spatula, or smoother and fill it additionally with sealing material. It is important to remember the precise connection (using sealing compound) between the tapes and the tapes with corners. NOTE: When gluing tapes and corners, make sure that the sealing compound does not cover the central part (approximately 20 mm) of the tape and the same width of the substrate underneath it. The tape installed in this way should be filled with LEVEL+ waterproofing material on both sides, in at least two layers, leaving the central part of the tape incomplete (at least 20 mm). When sealing expansion joints with filling in the form of expansion cords, use a cord of the appropriate diameter that tightly fills the entire expansion joint and fully presses the tape against the walls inside. ATTENTION! It is strictly forbidden to use sharp tools when installing tapes and corners. Further construction work should be carried out after the sealing compound has dried.
CLEANING OF TOOLS
During and immediately after work, rinse tools and unwanted contaminants with water.
